Hair Today . . .

So, I don't know what y'all do with your Friday nights, but Jacob and I both were in desperate need of a haircut. I was especially itching for one, (and right now!) so we went to the neighborhood mall and did it there. Now I'm the first person to admit that I'm picky with my hairstyling and I was not wanting the usual, so this was extra risky. And our girl came through. She cut, waxed, colored, and styled us both and two hours later emerged the sexy, stylin' couple your happy eyes are now beholdin'.

Does Jacob look fantastic or what? He's the man. No seriously, he's really the man. You will never understand just how "the man" he really is. No one but anyone holding the position of my husband could ever really understand. Sometimes that job is no easy task. But this is the sweet, loving face that greets me everyday regardless.

So I guess there've been other happenings, snow and more snow and more snow, a new exercise bike for Jake from DI, and the beginning of a month that brings us that much closer to spring.

Speaking of optimism. There's a quote I discovered about two weeks ago by Gordon B. Hinckley, (15th prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints whose funeral is being held tomorrow) which is quickly turning into one of my favorites. He says, "In all of living, have much fun and laughter. Life is meant to be enjoyed, not just endured." I've read that many times over the past several days. If there was ever a man who lived by these words, it is this man who said them. Ninety-seven and loving life. That is truly an inspiration for us all.
