Sweethearts

Jacob's family has a tradition of hosting a sweetheart dinner every February. Jacob first invited me when I was a senior in high school, and we've continued the tradition away from home every year we've been together since. Last year we invited some of my college performing friends--all of whom had just been married in the last year. (Dallin is not pictured in either photo--he's the photographer, very sneaky. Pictured this year above, from left to right: Greg, Mimi, Andrea, Devin, Katie holding Elizabeth, me, Jake.) This year Katie and Dallin were sweet enough to host at their place. It was so fun to see everyone and catch up, especially as 2 of the 4 couples will be moving across the country in a matter of months. And since our dinner last year, there have been 2 babies and a pregnancy in the bunch! Amazing what a year will do.

Martha Stewart moment: Those would be homemade heart-shaped brownies, with homemade frosting on a decorative red thing, care of yours truly. . . (alright, and a little help from Jake.) There were plenty of yummy desserts there to choose from!
Ha! There's Dallin. Gotcha!

And here are the sweethearts we spent Valentine's Day with. They love their new heart pajamas, Loretta!

Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Jake & Em, Thanks so much for taking such great care of our girls. It made us feel so good that they didn't even want to come home. They were spoiled and loved and we thank you for that! Love, Richie & Loretta
