Two Months Old

Our little man is two months old! He'll be 10 weeks tomorrow, I can hardly believe it. It's gone so quickly, and yet it's hard to imagine my life three little months ago before he was in it. He brings us such overwhelming joy and fulfillment. My days are so sweet spent all day with him. He's the greatest gift we've ever been given.

Here's what he's been up to the last month (and a little bit:)

Cooing on the changing table. He's so happy after he eats when I change his diaper, and I think in the last few days we've been gearing up for a laugh on the changing table, too. I always sing to him after his bath and massage him with lotion on the changing table. He was all smiles tonight. Loves to be sung to. Has from Day 1. It's a happy place all around.

Hanging out in the stroller. This is another favorite spot of his. He can sleep, he can chill, he's outside (which he also loves).

Meeting Uncle David. The weekend of August 11-13, David was invited by some friends to go to Magic Mountain. My mom came with and stayed the weekend with us. We had so much fun just laying low. And David had a fabulous time with the Brooks'. They were so sweet to stop by on their way in and out. I hadn't seen David since he came home from his mission. It was so, so good to see them.

My mom might actually smile bigger holding Jasper than even me. Whatdya think?

She dressed him to match her. So cute.

Uh, and I think he loves her back!

One more Uncle and three cousins left to meet on the Dalton side and we're 100%.

Watching the PGA golf tournament . . .

And dressing to play . . .

I know son, you're a little young yet.

And being held by friends and family alike:

Don't you LOVE when little kids are into babies? Lucky for this darling boy from our ward, Jude Barnson, his mama's expecting another one of her own.

And Jasper's first cousins once-removed who live in San Diego got to meet him! Paige and Kate Thomas! They were visiting Jake's Aunt Merry Ann and were kind enough to stop in!

Going to his first football game on August 20, UCLA's fall scrimmage. We went to watch Jake's cousin, Kevin Prince, play quarterback. Go #4!

Kate and Paige loved holding Jasper and must've said 50 times how cute he was. I didn't mind either thing a bit. :)

Sleeping through the night. Right at his 2 month mark he slept an 8-hour stretch! Way to go, kiddo!

Meeting his Aunt Madison for the first time! And seeing his Grammy Moffat for the second time! They popped in for a quick hour visit on Friday before heading up to Meg's place in Santa Maria. So happy they'd make the time for a chat. We loved having them!

He fell asleep in Grammy's arms long enough to give her a smile in his sleep. A well-deserved keepsake for her. Your Grammy rocks, kid.

And of course, turning 2 Months Old!!

This weekend we had a real treat with a surprise visit from my cousin, Tim Palmer. Jasper's first meeting with a Palmer cousin! It was so great to catch up with him, and I was so glad he'd let us know he was in town. He came to church with us yesterday and stayed for lunch at our place afterward. He has always been one of my favorites and we loved having him! Palmers, Daltons, Arnetts, and Moffats--we love to have you, one and all! Don't forget us when you come to Southern Cali--drop by anytime! That goes for friends, too!!

Here's our little blue-eyed monkey today, before our Granny bread deliveries.

And I'll leave you with little man's biggest smiling picture to date. We love our happy, gorgeous 2-month-old boy!

Jasper is doing good if he has met most of your family. Poor Cairo did not meet my sister Katie until a month before his 2nd birthday. It is nice to have these sweet angels in our lives!
