Notes on a New Year

I'm home sick today, but I wanted to do some reflecting. I once heard Barbra Streisand say that she always gets a little melancholy at the year's end and I think I can relate. I'm somewhat of a sentimental sap. Maybe that's the culprit. Maybe it's that I'm always sad to leave the people I love most dearly to go back to a place I still don't think of as home. Maybe it's that I know I've got a good life and I'm sad to see another year of it gone. In any case, here are some of the highlights from a good year, 2007.

January: New job for Emily.
February: 3rd anniversary.
March: Jacob's 25th birthday.
April: Emily's First movie filming
May: New niece on the way
June: Started this blog. Marked day in history.
July: Trip home and American Idol auditions
August: Emily's Second movie filming & Josh Groban concert
September: Work fundraiser performance
October: Vegas trip to Spamalot
November: Fakesgiving and the real thing
December: New Car

We were so lucky to finish out 2007 and start 2008 with our families, every last one of them.

But not without a yicky, sticky, all together miserable drive home. Thanks for putting us up halfway Rob.

Kissing photo! It's tradition! Happy New Year! We had a lot of fun going OUT this year to celebrate, going to National Treasure and then counting down the new year on State Street. We had the best time watching Lost, going shopping and golfing, eating chocolate croissants, swinging on the swing, eating gourmet homemade meals each night, I could go on. What a special holiday this was for us. Thank you to both our families for making it one of the best ever. We love you with all our hearts!!

Oh, and just for the record, I got everything I wanted for Christmas.
