"The Light" is Dark

The Light-of-my-life Piazza closed tonight. What an absolute thrill it was to be part of this beautiful production. The local reviews called it the best this theater has ever seen! Not bad, eh?

Some High"lights":

My new awesome friend Alicia, or as we like to call her, A-luscious. This girl is a party!



My new boyfriend, Giuseppe, aka Tony Falcon.
I was the most troubling "other woman" with whom Giuseppe was always getting in trouble with his wife. Fun to play the temptress for once. What, you don't believe me?
Sigh. Well, I did my best.


Parties in the dressing room. We had twice as much room as the last show and twice the fun.
Mary, Anne, me, Alicia, and Britany can make for a crazy combination! We look tame but we have some pretty wild stories! Well, you know me. Nothing really THAT wild.




My sweet dresser, Margot. I'm like twice her size, no joke.

And yes, there was a bit of work mixed in with all the partying . . . just a bit.
This is the understudy rehearsal, or parallel universe, as it seems when you're in it.


Tech notes. And there's no group of people I'd rather spend 12 hours a day with.




The steamy, but oh so tasteful, love scene. Aren't they dreamy?

And this gem of a girl is a highlight in and of herself. This Miss Betsy Morgan played Clara and never ceased to amaze me with her generosity. She took it upon herself to throw the entire cast and crew a Christmas party with homemade egg nog, desserts, and appetizers she prepared all by herself. Still not convinced? She also bought me a book, a jamba juice card, treated me to dinner, and made me a cd of songs to add to my repetoire. She was full of smiles and great advice. Yes, she's that good. And I will miss her.

In short, it was nothing short of fantastic.
